Given the advent of new technology and the maturity of the internet cloud, these providers are challenging old ways of doing business. Typically, new providers are more flexible and can offer the market improved levels of service over traditional providers at reduced prices. The key to their success, however, is maintaining the dependability of traditional services while delivering new technology and efficiencies. Over years of growth, larger providers are often slower to respond to clients and have deteriorating service levels and legacy systems. The new players can often provide higher client touch points and flexible solutions tailored to meet the needs of the market. As new technology matures, the cycle starts all over again. In the end, the market reaps the reward of this competition.
